Consistent Replica Inconsistencies - DPM 2012 R2 UR4 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've read all the posts I've been able to find on the subject, but to no avail. I'm experiencing a crazy amount of "Replica is inconsistent" errors in DPM 2012 R2 running against my Hyper-V (Server 2012 R2) cluster.

All events and alerts I'm seeing point to the VSS writer not being in a good state, and in spite of restarting a node to get the writer back, and then testing against a single VM under "ideal" circumstances yields no good result, with the consistency check running for a couple of minutes, and then simply terminating with no positive result.

I've tried increasing the VSS time-out values, disabling the hardware provider (Equallogic), installing the latest Windows, Hyper-V, and System Center updates and patches, but no luck.

Can anybody please point me in a direction of something I can try/check before logging a call with MS?

    Thanks in advance.
