Lower Case DNS Host Records RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Some of my DNS Host records have changed to lower case, they were in upper before and the PC Names as in Upper Case.

It doesn't seem to be causing a problem, but is there any reason why this could happen?

  • DNS Settings are stored in Active Directory (dNSHostName attribute), and normally enterred the way either a service writes the value in AD or when we enterred them manually (by example when we join a machine in the domain).

Could you locate if this behavior is a result of a service inside your organization ?
