Windows XP Service Pack 3 download

    Question

  • I am attempting to install updates and service pack 3 on a user's PC which currently has service pack 2.  Once it downloads, copies and registers then tries to go the page where it tries to install the latest updated software it gives me the following message:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.

I went through all of the "find solutions" and nothing worked.  Has anyone else had this issue?

    Help!

    Thanks,
    Peggy

  • Try to use the SP3 for Network Installation with all of your network disconnected.

  • This would be great information if this was 2011.... The "SP3 for Network Installation" link will bring you to a page that reads "this download is no longer available".

i am here because i was intending to locate a downloadable for XP's SP3. In the first link, you'll have to go through that thread and scroll down until you find a link for the "English" or your language version, there are several along this thread. The second link i posted is... interesting...
