Biztalk 2010 Group Configuration fails with The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • Group configuration fails for Biztalk 2010. I have followed the instructions provided for setup on Windows 7. I also found Joe Suharjo's  previous question concerning this issue. The answer was never solved on this supported platform. Thank you for your assistance.

Posting the relevant section of the configuration log file.

  • With the help of ProcessMonitor I was able to determine this was a rights issue on the machine.config file. Check your rights for the process owner and you should be good. In my case the process owner for WMI was NetworkService.

  • I'm having the exact same problem.  I've spent about 15hrs with it so far, done multiple uninstalls/reinstalls but it always ends up with the same error.  I was unable to find a problem with my setup using ProcessMonitor.
