64 bit audio driver for Windows 7 prof on Imac RRS feed

  • Question

  • After (almost entirely) successfully installing 64 bit Windows 7 Professional on a bootcamp partition on my Imac 24-inch (early 2009, 2.95 ghz, 4g ram, with most recent Snow Lepard) I launched Apple bootcamp but got the message saying that "bootcamp x64 is not supported on my computer". Therefore I cannot get to the driver and therefore my sound does not work (neither speakers nor head phone), also the volume slider normally at the bottom right of the screen is absent. I also have the yellow triangle for the built-in isight camera, but the camera actually works fine, at least in Skype. I'd hate to have to reinstall Windows in its 32 bit version (which I do have). Any alternative out there? Thanks in advance for your help!
