PreStage App V Office 2010 on an Image managed by SCCM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All

I am currently working on a customer site and one of the clients requests is to prestage an APP V Version of Office 2010 on the Image. I have checked onlione and found very little information on prestaging APPV Applications on clients managed by SCCM

Has anybody done this before, is it possible and is there any documentation outlining how to do this.

Any assistance would be greately apppreciated

  • If the image has the SCCM agent and an Office package has been delivered by SCCM before the image was taken, then yes you can pre-stage Office.

If you use any method other than SCCM, then the SCCM agent will remove Office from the App-V cache before any additional applications are delivered.

See more on the SCCM/App-V interaction in this white paper: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/7/8/f784a197-73be-48ff-83da-4102c05a6d44/APP-V/App-V_and_ConfigMgr_Whitepaper_Final.docx
