I've been working with this new Exchange 2013 MP already about month and it still didn't work as it should.
OpsMgr 2012 R2, Exchange 2013 SP1 CU6.
0. (not directly connecting with Exch MP) For installing SCOM agents on exhange servers we need to open all high ports (1024+). No info in documentation!
1.After installing first release (from 31 october as i remember) - it didn't ever discovered DAG. It was partly resolved by installing CU6 (it was the only advice from MS support team) . But there are no any pre-reqs about installing CU6 before monitoring.
Today, we still having a lot of problems(even after upgrading MP to december release):
Out AD Site is in critical rollup state. But critical only rollup monitor, there is no any real monitor.
DAG monitor also critical, but its childs ever do not in monitored state! Just white circles.
Exchange Organization & connectors also are in not monitores state. (Again ports??)
Organization & Server summary do not show anything, get an error.
Maybe my post too emotional and i maybe just one who had such problems, but i just want a good documented solution for monitoring Exchange in high secured infrastructure. I have no ideas for now why EXchange monitoring do not work (ok, work, 30%).
