High usage during catalog task for Sharepoint Farm RRS feed

  • Question

  • All, I see high memory usage during Catalog task. WSSCmdletsWrapper.exe eats approx 2.6Gb ram. It affects our Web front-end server. Since there is only 4Gb ram. I see this high load during bussiness hours (09:00am... till I kill that)

Is there any memory limits for DPM agent ?

Any suggestions how to fix that ? Express full scheduled at 12:30am, consistency check at 03:00am and 6 hours duration. I can't change this backup window.

     Thanks

Answers

  • Please deploy the next DPM 2010 QFE Rollup once it is released to web. It does fix one memory usage related issue related to huge lists. Your issue might be similar.

    Thanks

  • Whats your DPM version? Do you have some lists with a lot of list items (~100000) in your farm?

    Thanks

  • DPM 2010. MOSS 2007 SP2. Yes, we have one big list, approx 20K items.

Also there is some maillists in MOSS. We use it as archive instead of Public Folders.
