Site servers per SCCM site RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

How many site servers can you have in an SCCM 2012 site? I am 99% sure that you can only have 1 site server per sccm site, but I just want confirmations from SCCM pros.

    Thanks.

  • Thanks, Torsten! So that means we cannot have redundancy as far as site server is concerned, correct?

  • Just making sure I understand your question.  by "site server" you mean the server which happens to be the primary site?

Because you can have the Management Point role elsewhere (on multiple servers) you can have the SUP role elsewhere (on multiple servers), you can have the Reporting Point else where... etc. etc.

But if you mean "multiple databases", aka, the primary site, that's one site code, one database.

  • Yes that's exactly what I meant. I was pretty sure that it was not possible, but just wanted a second from you guys.

    Thanks.
