     I have a 2007 word doc with the same data field located in 2 places along with a lot of other data fields.  In 100% of the time, the one location merges in the correct location.  In the other location, several of the 400+ records merges to the left of where it is supposed to merge.  I've copied and pasted the data back into the column as values only, left justified, trimmed the data, but that did not work.  Can you think of anything that will help?

    Here is an image of what is happening.  The 3 digit number (202) under the date should be lined up with the left edge of the date.  In most of the records, it is lined up correctly.

    Your description suggests there may be something other than just the number 202 in the data source and/or that there is some oddity about your document formatting (not apparent from the image) that's contributing to the behaviour.

    Without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you upload the relevant portion of the mailmerge main document and some representative data (delete anything sensitive) to OneDrive, then post a link here?
