Documentation of the S4B Monitoring Reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I was wondering if anyone knows where to find a good and extensive documentation of the Skype for Business Monitoring Reports? My company currently has a high Focus failure rate and I'm trying to Figur out why?

Thanks for any and all feedback! :)

    Best regards,

    Gerrit

  • Hi Gerrit Deike,

You could refer to the official document from following link, it provides the details of the SFB Monitoring Reports:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/manage/health-and-monitoring/monitoring-reports

In addition, if you want to create a custom monitoring report, you could refer to the following blog to do some references:

  • Hi Gerrit,

The functions of SFB Monitoring Reports are as the Official document descripted, it is by design, if you deployed it in your environment, you could use the functions as below picture:

Based on our research, we did not find the other documents which are more detailed than the official document.

If you want to find the source of the problems, you could find the problems in the Monitoring Reports, and then troubleshoot the specific issues by check the logs in the SFB Servers and check in the Monitoring SQL Server.

In addition, you could also use the following tools to get SFB reports:

    Hello Evan,

thanks for your answer, but the official documentation isn't indepth enough. All it says about Focus failure rate is "Percentage of the Focus-based conferencing sessions that failed." That's kinda obvious. ;) I'm looking for information that is more indepth and can help me track down the source of the problems that show up in monitoring.

    Best Regards,

    Gerrit
