Terminal services license error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Windows 2012 R2 terminal server farm compose of three host servers and one license server.

For some unknown reason I'm starting receiving the message bellow:

“The Remote Desktop Session Host server could not contact the Remote Desktop license server xxxxxxx.xxxx.local. Ensure that the Remote Desktop Licensing service is running on the license server,

that the license server is accepting network requests, and that the license server is registered in WINS and DNS.”

License server is accessible, I can telnet, ping, connect using Windows administrative share (C$) to the license server.

From the terminal service host server I can confirm the license server is accessible, using RD license diagnoser MMC.

When a user log-in to any of the host, receive the message:

No remote desktop license server is available, remote desktop services will stop working this computer is past its grace period…. it is like the Windows 2012 R2 is trying to use a Windows 2008 license server.

RD connection broker is configure to use users CAls the same for the license server.

    Any help is welcome.
