Outlook 2007 missing OAB URL in Test Autoconfiguration RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have about 50 users running Outlook 2007 and connecting to an Exchange 2010 server.  Most of the users have no errors, but several get the sync error "Not downloading Offline Address Book files.  A server (URL) could not be located."

When I run Test-EmailAutoconfiguration in Outlook, I notice that the OAB URL is not included in the list.  There is an OOF URL but no OAB URL.  For other users, the OAB URL is listed correctly.  I've gone through the normal tests and confirmed that the URLs are correctly set in Exchange and that they are accessible on the network.  I've created a new Outlook profile for the affected users and ran the scanost.exe utility.  No change.  What would prevent some Outlook installations from picking up the OAB URL when the others find it without error?
