Exchange 2013 On Premise & Microsoft Office 365 Teams Ingration RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

We have Windows Server 2012 Active directory domain controller abc.com & Exchange 2013 with email ID domains as abc.com, def.com, ghi.com, jkl.com. All domains email users login to abc.com domain for email access as abc\user, abc\user1 & so on.

Addition to this we are using "Microsoft 365 Apps for business" for office applications & Office 365 E1 for Microsoft Teams. For both we are using xyz.onmicrosoft.com.

As we have different domains for email (On Premise) & Microsoft Teams (Cloud) we are facing trouble to keep multiple IDs for email & Microsoft Teams. Also calendar is not syncing between Exchange user outlook & Microsoft Teams calendar. When we want to create Microsoft Teams meeting we need to use Microsoft Exchange outlook calendar & invites went out with user1@xyz.onmicrosoft.com. Also Microsoft Teams calendar plugin is not available for Mac Outlook so meeting needs to schedule with Microsoft Teams Calendar.

We are looking for few options - 1) Microsoft Teams Calendar plugin for Mac Outlook

And above this can we use same domain for Exchange on premise emails and Microsoft Teams (Microsoft 365 Apps for business & Office 365 E1). What is procedure to use same domain for Mails & Microsoft Teams abc.com

    Thanks,

    Sachin Shinde

  • Users who are using MS Team make sure have UPN Suffix of you email domain in AD like company.com and that company.com should be verified over the O365, then they have to sing in (in MS Teams which is on O365) with user@comapny.com.
