  • Hi,

The Global Address List is the central repository for your contacts . If you make a change to the GAL on the server, that change is seen immediately in OWA. However, you might not see that change immediately in your Outlook client, particularly if you're using Cached Exchange Mode.

In Cached Exchange Mode, Outlook's GAL is actually the OAB. It can take up to 24 hours by default to appear the change.

    Hope it can help.

  • Exactly, by design Outlook in cache mode use only OAB, not GAL. By default it's updating once a day, but you can force update manually.
