getting error when assign static mac to vm

    Question

  • Server 2019 host (in Lab). One NIC.

I am trying to assign static mac to vm and get an error:

Failed to modify device "Synthetic Ethernet Port"

    What to do?

    Thx.

  • oofff when attached the pic I found that address is ZEROS :).

Just changed one zero to 1 and it applied.

Sorry for bothering. I thought it assigns something random. But finally the host has it's range and not manages statics.
