Enterprise custom field with lookup table which has a default value set doesn't show the value in PDP when creating project RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a custom field which is associated with a lookup table and a default value set for it. When I create a project, in the initiation page (type 2 pdp) that custom field should be populated with default value, but it is blank in this case. When i see the lookup list, i can see the default value is checked, but not displaying value in the custom field. Can someone provide some insights on this.

    Project server 2013.

Issue with Initial PDP where we fill the project name.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Does the value appear when you save the pdp/project?

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi, There‘s a similar thread which you will find here: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/projectserver/en-US/7fd3c2ba-8845-4c76-af25-1a5af34bba03/project-server-2013-custom-field-not-displaying-default-value-from-lookup-table?forum=projserv2010setup Mark figured out, that it is somehow related to the project template. However, you could also check, if it is just a displaying issue and if the value is in the database after publishing. Alternatively, check the Odata feed by putting this URL in you browser https://<yoururl>.com/<pwa>/_api/ProjectData/Projects?$select=<fieldname>.
