I had a 2-node 2012 hyper-v core cluster (srvA and srvB). Server A is a slightly newer Dell with faster proc and more RAM. However, the CPUs (Family, Model, and Stepping are all the same). Live migration works fine between them despite the slight differences.
I recently added a third node to the cluster (srvC). This node is identical to srvB. (A and B were previously in a 2-node VmWare cluster w/o issues). Cluster validation completed without errors. However, when I try to migrate a vm from srvA or srvB
to srvC, I get the following error: The virtual machine and the virtualization host use processors from different manufacturers...
I've verified all BIOS settings (execute disable is enabled, DEP is enabled, etc.). SrvB and srvC are both the same make, model, etc., so I can't figure why the error.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
