Virus Filtering Disabled RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Forefront Online Protection for Exchanged with Office 365.

However, under domain services, it says "Virus filtering: disabled" with no option to enable it. I read up on it in the help and that says that virus filtering is always enabled and cannot be disabled. Can someone explain this for me?

  • Hi Daryl - Virus filtering show disabled in FOPE in O365 because virus filtering is performed directly on the Exchange servers. Virus filtering is still enabled and the SLA still stands that FOPE will catch 100% of known viruses.
