Active Directory Users & Computers etc

Question
-
We are an education institute of around 2,000 workstations and around 10,000 users. We are still using Windows XP on the desktops.
We have previously looked at Vista, and as a matter of testing our development and sys-admins would have it installed on their desktops initially. We found that our DNS administrator, and staff who need to user AD Users & Computers tools were unable to do so. We were unable to find a version of the Active Directory Management Pack which works with Vista. Obviously this makes a migration to vista a non-starter for us.
Does anyone know if the above situation has changed, and if all the management tools for a server 2003 active directory network, are available for Vista?

Hi
Vista uses the newer RSAT (Remote Server Administration Tools) designed for Server 2008.
Most of these tools, such as:
Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) Tools
Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) Tools
Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) Tools
DHCP Server Tools
DNS Server Tools
Group Policy Management Tools
Network Load Balancing Tools
Terminal Services Tools
Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) Services Tools
All work on Server 2003. There was a short period of time after the Vista Service Pack 1 was released where the SP1 installation removed some of the server admin tools, prior to the release of the new RSAT.
Here are some links that will get you up to speed on these new tools.

What about RSAT, Remote Server Administration Tools? The version for Server 2008 will do much of what you want I think.
They will need to have Vista SP1 installed to use them.
