Office 2010 & PowerPivot App-V RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have copied this from the Server section as no one was answering and i think i posted in the wrong place.

I am having serious issues getting Excel and Powerpivot to play ball.

    The setup is this.

    Windows 2008 R2
    Office 2010 SP1 x86 (App-V Package)
PowerPivot x86 (App-V Package) loaded into Excel via DSC
    App-V 4.6 SP2

Excel launches fine but PowerPivot will never launch. Com addins indicates that it is not selected, if selected it fails to load and the following message is displayed.

"The following solution cannot be loaded because Microsoft Office support for the .NET Framework 4.0 is not installed: Microsoft.AnalysisServices.XLHost.Addin.vsto|vstolocal.

    For more information, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=135965"

The full .NET4 has been installed natively onto the server as well as the .NET client profile and VSTO 2010 x64.

Frankly i'm baffled why this wont work. The error gives a fairly obvious message that the VSTO cant been seen. Is this due to x86 office and x64 tools?

If so then how do i fool it into working, as the x86 VSTO cant be installed on a x64 OS.

    Any help would be appreciated.
