Exchange 2010 Auto Attendant with Lync 2010 and Office 365 Basic Plan RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello guys,

    I have an architecture question.

As far i've deployed a Lync 2010 Server with outside services (Edge), but as one of the requirements is to have an IVR to transfer to internal phone numbers (6013 for example).

I've realized that Lync doesn't have this functionality, but Exchange yes. So i've tried to make an update to a better plan on this deploy, but is an excessive pay, so i've figured to install a local Exchange.

The question is, having an Lync 2010 deployment with AD with local users in future going to integrate with Exchange Voice Mail, is possible and recommended to deploy an Exchange 2010 Server (or 2013) to have UM and Auto Attendant functionality?

Thanks a lot for your answer in advance.
