Windows 7 SP1 Error Code 8007000E RRS feed

  • Question

  • Okay, so, I've tried for a while now to get SP1 to install and have gotten two errors. The last two times was the error code above. I have done a clean reboot and that has done nothing to help the problem. I even ran the Windows Update Repair utility, which said it successfully repaired Windows Update files, although it didn't help with the error. Previously, I got the 80070020 error, if that helps any. My error logs are here. Any advice?

  • Your out of free RAM:

    2011-02-23 00:55:40, Error                 CSI    0000004e@2011/2/23:05:55:40.481 (F) d:\w7rtm\base\lstring\lblob.cpp(137): Error STATUS_NO_MEMORY originated in function RtlReallocateLBlob expression: Temp = (*RtlReallocateStringRoutine )(Bytes, Blob->Buffer)

    [HRESULT = 0x8007000e - E_OUTOFMEMORY]

    How much RAM do you have? Have you disabled the page file? Have you installed several MUI packs? If yes, remove them all before installing the Sp1!

    Now install the Sp1 and after the installation install the new MUI Packs.

  • I'm having a similar problem. What do you mean by "MUI Packs" and how do I know if I have them or not and how to uninstall them? I'll try disabling the paging file. I have 3gb of RAM.

  • I'm having this problem too.  Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit version.  3 gb ram, no extra language packs.  SP1 install chugs away for over an hour, RAM used by trusted installer gradually climbs up as high as 1.5 gb and 50% CPU utilisation and then I get the 8007000E failed to install.

    Have tried a few times, over night when nothng else is running.

    Please help!

    Thanks

  • While I did not have any language packs to remove I did the following and it helped me.

    1. Went to Add/Remove programs

    2. Looked at installed updates and removed any updates connected with the US/English language pack

    3. Also removed any update that did not have Microsoft as a publisher.

    4. Ran updates and this resolved my problem with not being able to install updates.

  • How do I disable the page file?

    So you do not have to repeat the same stupid questions, I have installed NO MUI packs & DO have well more than enough RAM.

    Just as you refuse to say how much RAM IS needed I refuse to detail the extent of my RAM. How do you like getting jerked around, in fair exchange?

    F**K YOU. I don't have or need one.
