How to get the entire DPM schedule? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I am trying to analyse all the jobs that are scheduled on my DPM-server, even the ones that are already completed (but are scheduled again for tomorrow). I currently have about 2700 completed jobs, 126 failed jobs and 26 scheduled. The output that I want is all jobs + their schedule + their source.

    I have tried this

        Get-DPMJob > c:\dump.txt

But I only get about 50 jobs, and only the category + status + protectiongroupname + datasources. How do I get all the jobs that DPM does and see their schedules also?

  • Hello. I think your script is not entirely what I am looking for. It only show the protection groups, not all the scheduled or completed jobs in that protection group.

Here is one of my DPM's:

    imgur DOT com SLASH vNVz3j6

    Your script only gives this:

    imgur DOT com SLASH AtSKrAF

But I want to see all the hunderds of jobs within the protection group, with their schedules. The other script you linked only returned the completed jobs, not the scheduled ones. Do you think you can help me out?

look above to scripts :) and use it

    For example

    GET-DPMJob -DPMServerName dpm01 -Status Scheduled | select DPMServerName,JobCategory,Status,Star
    tTime,EndTime,ProtectionGroupName,DataSources

    As a result:

    DPMServerName       : dpm01.contoso.com
    JobCategory         : Replication
    Status              : Scheduled
    StartTime           : 27.09.2016 17:45:00
    EndTime             :  01.01.0001 0:00:00
    ProtectionGroupName : Database (COD) Sync15min_AutoGrown
    DataSources         : SQL01\Trade_Corporate

StartTime is a scheduler time for DataSources!

If you want the scheduler for the Protection Group (not for the DataSourse) you must use separately the script for it.

    You are welcome!

    Also you can try this

    Get-DPMJob -DPMServerName dpm01 -Status Scheduled

    or define a Date Range

    GET-DPMJob -DPMServerName dpm01 -Status Scheduled -From (Get-Date).AddDays(6) -To (Get-Date).AddDays(7)
    or
    Get-DPMJob -DPMServerName dpm01 -Status InProgress
