I cannot download ANY version of IE to the PC!
I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit.
Then it probably already has IE9 pre-installed but hidden.
Open Windows Features and see if you have an item for Internet Explorer 9 there unchecked. If so, check it. That will be all that you will need to do to "install" IE9.
It will not make IE your default browser unless you want to take that second step.
To check which version of IE browsing functionality that your OS has installed use System Information (msinfo32.exe) for its Loaded Modules display. Sort the list by Version descending and see whether you have IE modules which are
version 8.0 or (more likely) 9.0 That would be an indication of which version of IE you would have when you made it active and unhidden again.
