CANT FIND SSD CARD RRS feed

  • Hi, I searched alot about how to updated, find and rename the ssd disk but it has not going good for me. So i need help from you guys.

    I have a computer Asus rog gr6 and it says that I have an 128gb SSD. But when I am in the computer and looking for diskmanagment it shows me my pcs disk that is 100gb and says that i have 128gb online and 0gb is used. 

    how do i really use my ssd? please help

  • When your spec says 128GB of space, that's the physical layout of the disk.  What happens when a disk is partitioned and formatted though is that there is a remaining "usable" space that you'll actually see.  Also, most modern operating systems will create hidden partitions when installed, to keep things like recovery tools and images available in case of emergency.  So you may be dealing with a remaining OS partition that is indeed only 100GB.  And of course that's also hosting your operating system...

    If you need more storage, certainly some kind of externally connected disk will work for you.  Does that PC also contain a MicroSD card slot?  I always find that adding a D: drive using a large MicroSD card helps quite a bit.
