Templates in Project Online

Hello,

I have created a project in project online and I would like to create a template from it since my new project set ups will be the same. Is there a way to do this?

Hi harperbend,

Are you working with MS Project Pro connected to you Project Online instance?

In case you are, follow those steps:

Open your project in MS Project Pro connected to Project Server
Click on "save as", choose the "template" type in the "save as" dialog box
In the next dialog box, select values (baselines, actuals, resources rates, fixed costs) that you want to remove from the project before saving it as a template
Validate

Then you project will be saved as an enterprise template on your Project Online instance.

Hi Melanie,

Great answers from both Guillaume and Paul. To add my 2p worth, and to explicitly state it, you need Project Professional 2013 or Project Pro for 0365 in order to do this.
