RMS Connector RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can I install Azure RMS Connector on existing ADFS servers?

We have deployed two ADFS servers and federated our domain. Would like to deploy Azure RMS connector to enable email/SP encryption and digital signature.

Please suggest best practices to implement Azure RMS and integrating to on-premises.

    Thanks in advance...

  • Hi,

You can deploy the RMS Connector on existing ADFS servers. The deployment of the RMS Connector is only unsupported on a Domain Controller, Exchange Server, Sharepoint and file server that are going to use the RMS service.

If you deploy it on the ADFS, you need to configure it in the TCP 80 port (without certificates), if you need to use the TCP 443 port you will need to use hostheaders for difference it from the ADFS name.

Remember that the RMS Connect must be running on the same forest that the Exchange.

    Regards,
