  • windws cannot identify  the USB portal

Answers

    1. Can you look under: start -> (right click) my computer -> manage -> device manager...and see if there are any missing drivers there? if so right click it, and update driver, allow Windows Update and follow the installation to see if it installs the driver.
    2. Failing this if it does not have any missing drivers, plug in a mouse and see if the light activates underneath (assuming it's not rollerball) does it work? then if so the USB should be OK...
    3. Which will then mean you need to plug the keyboard into any USB's that aren't yet working and see if you can use it fine in the BIOS..if so then you have a corrupt Windows.
