Creation accounts- password never expires RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    Hello,

I use Exchange 2007 and at a generic user acoount creation (account we use for project) I would like to set password never expires and user cannot change password.

Also would it be possible to set that account to expire in 1 year from its creation date??

    Many thanks in advance,

    Graig

  • Hi

This is more on an AD task.  Maybe post in that section.  However, see below.

    1. You can do this on the user object in AD.  Use ADUC.

    2. Or use powershell - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd378873(WS.10).aspx

  • Hi,

You can refer to the following steps to do that in Active Directory Users and Computers:

Open ADUC->Click View->Advanced Features, click Users in the domain name, right click the user you want to setup, click ‘Properties’->‘Account’ tab, uncheck any option in the ‘Account options’, check ‘End of’ in the ‘Account expires’ and edit the ‘End of’.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
