Windows 7 Compatibility Testing Question RRS feed

  • Now... I know this is stupid but just need to clarify as I can't seem to find a article to give me any data.

We are trying to do compatibility testing for Windows 7, I have installed ACT 5.6 and deployed a DCP to XP machines.

Now to test compatibility for Windows 7, do I need to install all the apps on Windows 7 and then deploy a DCP to test compatibility for Windows 7, or can I install it on XP and it will check for compatibility with 7?

Reason i ask is because we have over 50 proprietary applications in our organization and I do not want to have to install all of those on 1 machine as I am trying to make this as close to a real system as possible. Please ignore my ignorance on this as this is my first time for using ACT.

    Thanks!
