Macros not working on file from someone who downgraded from 2010 to 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently Office 2010 is our standard version at work but there are pockets that are still on 2007 and until everyone is ready to upgrade, everyone has to be on 2007.  The problem we are having is when someone gets a new computer, 2010 is installed automatically and the IT hardware group uninstalls that and installs office 2007.

We use a lot of Excel macros and we have one particular instance where one person who was recently downgraded used a macro, saves the workbook then sent it to someone else who tried to use a different macro on the same file and it wouldn't work.  Now, if the second person uses both macros on the file they work fine, the problem only happens when the first person who was recently downgraded uses a macro, saves and sends the file to someone else.

I feel like something isn't being completely removed with 2010 and its causing this glitch.  How can we fix it?
