Running IE6 on Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We are upgrading our client machines to windows 7 via SCCM. There are some in house legacy applications which require IE6/7, for that we'll be using MED-V. We are still facing some issues using it. Is it possible to call IE6 directly on windows 7 outside MED-V environment? Just so that we can add this path/registry to the application code itself.

    Thanks,

    Jingle

  • Hi ,

I am afraid that it is not possible.

If you need to use Internet Explorer 6 and have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate edition, another suggestion would be to use Windows XP Mode to emulate Windows XP in Windows 7. (Windows XP came with Internet Explorer 6 built in.)
