SOLVED - Metro apps generate Event 1002 in Known Folders/Operational log - access denied to C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming RRS feed

  • Question

  • Metro apps generate Event 1002 in Known Folders/Operational log - access denied to C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming.  One instance of this event is generated whenever Weather, Finance, News, or possibly other Metro apps are started.

The process that generates the event is wwahost.exe.  It is running under the logged-on user's account, which has been given Full Control Permissions on the Users\Default\AppData\Roaming folder.

Has anyone else noticed this, or have way to avoid it?

    Thanks.

SOLVED - by adding an ACE for ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES with Read & Execute permissions to C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming.
