was given new Windows XP professional OEM software disc Part No. 0504 X10-59871 but am missing COA product key . RRS feed

  • im new to computers and was trying to install the disc but when it got to asking me to enter product key during the last stages of set up,i didnt notice COA had been removed. now everytime i try and start up my computer it says restarting set up .it just keeps going in a loop , over and over again without finishing the installation. Could someone please help me out and tell me what to do to fix the problem.

    If you were not provided with a COA key then you have more than likely been provided with counterfeit software and should report the supplier.

  • However, to cure the looping, you will need to interrupt the boot up and tell your computer to boot from the CD, otherwise it will ignore the cd and boot into setup.

    You need to get genuine windows media though otherwise you'll just get the same problem.
