Has anyone managed to get FIM outbound sync rules to update the AD account expiry date attribute? RRS feed

  • Question

  • A customer wants FIM to manage the "account expires" AD attribute via the HR ContractEndDate if present. The definition of this AD attribute is horrendous, a double word integer based on some number of nanoclock ticks since a weird date in the past. Ages ago I wrote a java class to convert a string representing a date into this long integer

    but... in FIM??

    Any ideas, anyone?

  • Hi,

Are you using the codeless method? In that case, you'll have to create a custom workflow and use the DateTime.ToFileTime method.

If youare using the sync-engine to flow this value, you can also use this method.

In any case: there is no standard way to generate the attribute value.

    Best regards,
    Pieter.
