Installer Encountered Error , Not able to Install Windows Update RRS feed

  • When I am trying to install windows update for Windows-7 SP1 manually I'm getting following error. I also tried by Control Panel>Troubleshooting Option for Windows Update but it also shows error. I also checked windowsupdate.log and found following info..

    From the error message, here are some steps you can try to trouble shoot the problem:

    1.Open cmd as administrator as administrator and type sfc /scannow to fix the corrupted system components.

    2.Update the outdated Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver manually.

    3.Reset windows update components:

    4.Delete the software distribution and catroot2, which is located at 

    C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download 

    C:\Windows\System32\catroot2

    If the problem still can't be resolved, please help us collect the windowsupdate.log, upload to a network drive and share the link here.
