Now YOU can control which compatibility mode  (quirks,6,7,8,9,10) is
used. Otherwise you can only "activate" compatibility mode and the
developer of the website is responsible to define the right mode.
    (which usally doesn´t happen ...)

  • Update your ineres.admx/adml to IE11
You can get the new "inetres.admx" and "interest.adml" files from a machine with IE11 installed under C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions and C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\en-US.

  • Ok Ethan

I will copy "inetres.admx" and "interest.adml from IE 11 installed in client machine and paste to the sysvol location in DC

Now as it will replace the existing inetres file, will it impact the Current exisitng GPO settings or just add the enterprise mode option to GPMC in DC to control client.

No, existing GPO settings will not get lost. You should be safe to overwrite the existing templates.

  • Which version of Windows are you using? Try to download the newer Administrator Templates to replace the existing inetres.admx/inetres.adml on these clients.

Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 8.1and Windows Server 2012 R2:
