Problem showing graphics in AppV 5.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey

    The application is running - and showing graphics/pics on the tab and on every line. (normal installation)

    The application is running under AppV 5.0 - now the graphics is missing

    Running under AppV 5.0

    The graphics/icons are embedded in the exe file.

    But why?

    Regards

    Michael

  • Hello,

    1. Use Process Monitor and try to understand the behavior of the application.

    2. A wild-shot, but try toggling these;

    “allow all named objects to interact with the local system” and “Allow all COM objects to interact with the local system”.

  • Does the grafics appear during the sequencecing proces? Are you filtering important files during the sequencer? Look into your report.xml to look into that.

    Did you try to run with "Run As Administrator"?

  • Sorry, I had given up on AppV 5.0 and our application.

    But now I have to make it work.

    No files are filter during sequencing and running as Admin does not make it work.

    Any ideas? (have just tested using SP3)

  • Same suggestion as last time;

    1. Use Process Monitor and try to understand the behavior of the application.

    2. A wild-shot, but try toggling these;

    “allow all named objects to interact with the local system” and “Allow all COM objects to interact with the local system”.

  • Try to figure out where these icons are stored (i.e. in a specific dll) and if you got that use Procmon like znack already mentioned to monitor the Access to the icons / the file that contains the icons.

  • First... I have tried to enable "allow all named objects to interact with the local system” and “Allow all COM objects to interact with the local system” - no success.

    Icons are embedded in the exe file.

  • And repeating myself again;

    Use Process Monitor and try to understand the behavior of the application.

    I am saying this because the application is doing something. Unfortunately we do not know what that something is.
