If you lost the sound I would suggest to reinstall the sound card driver too, it's not long to test out.

how did you delete it? did id just disapear or did you actively delete the software from windows?
a simple driver re-install should fix this issue.
if you navigate to the device manager you should see your sound card in the "Other Devices" section. right-click on the device and select "update drivers". windows should handle the rest
