WSUS Folders on C: and D: Drives RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an SBS 2011 Standard which is running low on C: drive space. There are WSUS folders of over 20 GB on both the C: and D: drives. Looking at the SBS Console Storage section shows that a Windows Update Repository in on the D: drive but none is on the C: drive. It seems likely that someone has moved the Repository from the C: to D: drives. The mdf files in both the C: and D: drives have recent dates.

My question is can I safely delete the WSUS folder from the C: drive after stopping the related services including Windows Update Service and Windows Internal Database.

Would much appreciate help with this matter.
