Rejected timecard RRS feed

  • Question

  • If a timecard is APPROVED and then subsequently the status manager either deletes the task (bad!) or reassignes the task to another resource, will the previous timecard get systematically rejected??

  • Hi Joe,

An assignment with actual work should not be allowed to be deleted by Project Server. If you reassign the task, only the remaining work will be reassigned to the new task. The actual work will remain on the original assignment.

    Hope this helps,

  • Guillaume  -  Test it.... PWA actually allows you to delete it!!  It also allows someone to allocate resources on a milestone!! So -  there is no way a timecard can get rejected systematically - it has to be either rejected by the status manager or the Timesheet Manager.....

    Thanks,

  • Hi Joe,

Can you be more explicit? Do you mean timesheet or task update deletion? In PWA or in MS Project Pro (assignment)? If you enable the appropriate option in PWA, you'll not be able to delete any task with actuals in MS Project Pro. Timesheet will never be deleted unless you directly delete it, meaning deleting and reassigning a task will not delete the timesheet.

    Hope this helps,
