Question

Hello,
when Lync is running and I try to dial contacts in outlook lync does the dialing. We don't use lync for dialing. Is there a way to allow outlook to launch it's regular dialing feature and not lync?
thanks

Are the users enabled for Enterprise Voice? I'll go take a look in my lab but I'm pretty sure if a person is EV enabled, this is the default behavior. But if the person is PC-to-PC, it wouldn't use Lync to outbound dial as they wouldn't have any rules to allow routing of the call.
So let's start with, are they EV enabled?

Hi,
Do you have a modem connected to a voice telephone line?
Before Outlook can make phone calls for you , you must set up your computer and a modem for automatic phone dialing.
You can refer to following article for more details: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/about-dialing-from-outlook-HP005243320.aspx
