Changing default gateway on Windows Server 2003 with SQL Server 2000 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a Windows Server 2003 setup running SQL Server 2000.  Due to changes in our network structure the gateway address has changed.

I need to change the default gateway from 192.168.0.225 to 192.168.0.254

The problem is that this server is our main production box and I cannot risk a reboot.

So if I change the default gateway will the OS require a reboot?

Is there a way around this problem?

    Thank you

    J
