does CLR_SEMAPHORE's wait make db slow ?

    Question

  • Hi all.

We replicate DB from one to another.

It ran smoothly all day long, but only period 9.am-10.am it ran in critical latency. ( 15 minuts).

When i check *dbo.sp_BlitzFirst*, thi show *CLR_SEMAPHORE*  ( wait stat) very high .

---The log reader is fine, The *distributor writer* is so slow.

My question: Does CLR_SEMAPHORE ( wait) make DB slow ? if it, how ?

    Thank all somuch

  • This wait stat is normally ignored. It is associated with CLR objects. I do not believe it is related to the log reader agent.

    Thank Hilary.

I read it. but when *distributer writer*, it's only CLR_SEMAPHORE is high ( sp_blizfirst show that's problem). we had increase ram 30G more and wait to see :).

    Anyone had same problem ?
