SSO Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am publishing some Remote apps (Paint,Wordpad) and am having issues with SSO. When I successfully logon to the Portal using Domain\Username and click on paint, I get prompted for my credentials. If I fill in my domain credentials paint works fine.

Thereafter when I exit Paint and click on Wordpad, it opens without prompting. However, if I wait a couple of minutes and then click on Wordpad, I get prompted again.

When clicking on the Remoteapp icon, I do get a "Website wants to run a RemoteApp program" warning. If I click on the details box, i also see either:

    A) no further info (apart from the tick boxes to select drives, clipboard, ports etc) and I get prompted for credentials

    or

    B) "Use the Following credentials to connect: Password for My_Domain\My_Username" and the app works with no prompting

For the Remote Apps I have ticked "Use Remote Desktop Services Single Sign On"

    Any suggestions or clues appreciated.

    thanks

    David

     I should add:

    UAG SP1 with Rollup1 on W2K8 R2 SP1

    W2K8 R2 SP1 RDS host

    Client is Windows 7.

  • Your URLs are in Trusted Sites in the web browser?

Are you using a public SSL cert on your session host RDS server?

  • I have discovered RemopteApp SSO works when I uncheck the "Apply an Outlook Web Access Look and feel to the logon and logoff schemes" - this is under the trunk config, Authentication TAB

If this box is checked, SSO for Remote Apps does not seem to work regardless of the "Use Remote Desktop Services Single Sign On" check box on the App itself.
