Bluetooth Headset Problem with Vista SP1 RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    My configuration is as follow:

    Laptop : Sony VAIO VNG-SZ79GN

    OS : Vista SP1

    Bluetooth Headset : i-Tech Clip S38

Bluetooth Software: Broadcom (Widcomm) Bluetooth Software V5.2 (the latest one updated last week thru the official website)

When I tried to connect the i-Tech Bluetooth device, Vista prompted me an error saying "Bluetooth Stack Com" is not working. After Vista displayed this error, the device got disconnected.

I have made many searches in the internet and updated all necessary drivers. The error still presists. Can anyone help me to work around this?

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Tim

  • Hi Tim,

According to i-Tech Clip S38 official website, the headset is designed for receiving and making calls of mobile phones. And Windows Vista is not on its Compatibility List.

Given the situation, I suggest you contact manufacturer to confirm if the product can be used on Windows Vista.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • Thanks for your information. I also tried to reach the manufacturer......however, I never get a reply from them....

anyway, I would rather take the wired one.....it's hassle-free....
