Skype For Business - contact request to Skype use RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have set up our SFB with a federated provider for Skype.  I can browse the skype directory from my SFB client.  When I click on a user in the skype directory it says it will send a contact request.  However, said request never reaches the Skype user.

From the public Skype account, I can search for my SFB account and it shows up. It shows the correct presence, and if I send a message from Skype to SFB it pops up a conversation that you can accept, but there is nothing there and it shows Pending - Skype under the name.

We have set up the SIP federated provider and created an external access policy that allows communications with public users.  Not sure if we need to set up something other than that.

  • Note,  I am able to create an audio/video call from the Skype client to the SFB client. I can not initiate an audio/video call from SFB to SKype. Also an not get contact requests to approve them. All IM traffic is not showing in S4B because contact shows Pending
