User profile problems after samaccount renaming RRS feed

  • Hi.

    Please help me to solve my next issue.

    After AD user renaming (made changes in samaccountname) sharepoint sometimes can't find user profile. I make user migration via stsadm -o migrateuser but it doesn't help.

    In powershell i can find user profile with both (old and new) samaccountnames and receive same profile. In Central Administration when i try to change user profile i see the next

    A.Golkov it's a old samaccount name.

    In Sharpeoint farm there are 4 servers except Database (2 fronted web and 2 service applications server )  Both Service application servers run User Profile Service. But only one server running User profile synchronization service.

  • Hi Sidorenko,

    When you run stsadm -o migrateuser, make sure you are using Farm account.

    And after running the stsadm command, please do a user profile full sync, then check again, compare the result.

    If this issue still exists, you can check the user information in SQL side, then  edit it in SQL side.
