Available members not showing all volumes or shares RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a VM that I have backup agent installed on so I can backup select volumes.  I have been backing up specific volumes for some time.  I added a few hard drive volumes to the VM but they don't show up in DPM.  This is for a file server and I noticed that not all the shares show up either.  Any suggestions?

  • Hi Joseph,

    You can force DPM to query your production server for any new datasources by running the following two rows in an elevated Powershell-window on your DPM-server:

    $ProdServer = Get-ProductionServer | Where-Object {$_.ServerName -eq "MyFileServer"}
    Get-DPMDatasource -ProductionServer $ProdServer -Inquire
    Kind Regards

  • That did exactly what I needed.  I did however need to close the DPM Administrator Console and re-open it before the new data sources showed up.

    Thank you very much.
